In Germany for example here: http://www2.alternate.de/html/shop/productDetails.html?artno=HHEA21&artno=HHEA21& In the USA most certainly cheaper and in more shops. I would go for the cheapest X2 that means 4200+, since the other versions are only 0.2 Ghz faster and Cache is not important for chess performance. The Athlon64 X2 4200+ should soon be available for 500$ and then it is a good shot. regards Joachim
