Due to the principle of trichotomy, I feel fairly confident in my assertion. I think that when a super GM decides to play for a draw, he can probably achieve it. (We have seen some good examples of GMs playing anticomputer chess). I think if they try to win, then the outcome is far more uncertain. So, if we see lots of closed positions, I predict a draw. If we see lots of open positions, I predict a Hydra win. But if Hydra played 100 games agains Adams first, I predict that Adams would win. Of course, all guesses are wild guesses, because we really have no idea. I do think that the time has come for Super GMs to consider anticomputer ideas. I don't think we really know how strong Hydra is. Not enough games. We do know that it is very strong. There could be a fault in hardware or software. If such a fault were discovered, it might be possible to exploit it again and again.
