Whatever Fabien did is legal, and quite in the spirit of openness and
information sharing.

Is the concept of sharing information so alien to you? Perhaps you need to open
up your mind a little. Chess engine authors frequently share information/tips
with each other. Releasing source code is just another way to do so.

Thanks for your recommendations, but I will keep Natwarlal open source anyway.
