Í typed this just in, the consequence was another error above - I did not mean
that. Should have been something like:

  if (material balance + value of captured piece + margin < alpha)

and "in reality" will be more complicated. Of course also possible material
gains by promotion would be taken into account.

Yes, still an error. One that would not happen using fail hard.
