>I just received the Conchess Ambassador, and like I was warned, it has at least >one bad square. It is B1, and I am unable to get the computer into a game since >it doesn't recognize the knight on that square as being there. > >Do I have any options as far as repairing what I assume to be a bad reed switch? sorry to hear that Dick but it does not surprise me the problem is ,in my experience with the Conchess boards..once one reed goes its only a matter of time before others go and they will go so if i were you i would not spend alot of money repairing the one switch it might be better to give back the computer to the seller as defective because you just received it if you wait too long the seller will refuse to take it back if you want to try to repair it you should get all of the reed switches checked while your at it..but this will be expensive a member here.. Robin Smith has repaired some computers for me so you might want to e-mail him i recommend him highly his e-mail addy: robos11@comcast.net Good Luck Regards Steve
