It should be possible... I'm not familiar with the Conchess machine.
I replaced a reed switch only two weeks ago on my CXG Chess 2001.
All you need is a new reed switch and a soldering iron. Most electronics shops
should have them. The glass-sheathed switches are very fragile so take care.
