Hi Dick,

No, I had a choice of two sizes. I just chose the best match. Also, they come in
open and closed varieties. That is, they can default to circuit open or circuit
closed. For a chessboard, you'd normally want the 'open' type.

If it were mine I'd just open it up and have a look. Unsolder the faulty switch
so you can take it to the electronics supplier and get one that matches. They're
not expensive, so buy a _few_ in case one or two break during installation.  ;-)

I'm not an electronics hobbyist at all. I've only soldered about 5 things in my
entire life... so if I can do it...

Hopefully, the Conchess switches will be accessible. Surely, they would build
them so they can be easily repaired.
