It is possible to start a Chessbase forum or sub forum in

http://www.chesschat.org/

It is a nice idea. If it is supported by Chessbase and its expert users, it will
certainly help a lot of people.

It may be easier for everyone to search through the forum for a simple solution
instead of waiting for a reply from chessbase. At the same time chessbase will
certainly benefit from less support questions.

But, Chessbase may not support this as they will not be able to simply dodge a
single user's important question. They can always fix the bugs in later
versions. Why would they care when they are selling very well? The only way you
can get them to listen to people is to have serious copmetition by a couple of
other companies.

Anyway, coming back to your question:

It is possible in chesschat.

It has nice features such as the ability for any user to publish a PGN game and
all users to move through the game.

We will need moderators for this section.

How much demand is there for such a forum?

If chessbase can accept the challenge and supports this forum, we may be able to
start a separate website for the VB board.
