Official webside is on http://www.mpps.64pola.pl/ but currently it isn't
finnished. Games are available to download on webpage:
http://mpps.kis.p.lodz.pl/
I was absent on this tournament and I also haven't seen games yet.
There are always two categories one for all programs and second for uniform
machines. Butcher was played on AMD64 (I guess 3Ghz) and the rest of
participants played on Celeron 2.6GHz. Gosu has won in both categories like
Tytan 2 years ago of course. Win of Gosu isn't surprise. I expected this
result. But big surprise is second position of Atak. I knew Atak will powerful
program but nobody thought it'll so soon. Atak have extremely simple evaluation
function, but is quite fast and what is in my opinion main key to success isn't
buggy.
This tournament showing that Polish computer chess programs develope and getting
better and better. We still haven't got big stars but I believ it's only
question of time.
