Nothing hinders an creator of a work from using his own code as he wants. A common approach is to dual license code. Releasing something under both GPL and BSD or other more commercially viable licenses is possible. But if you GPL a work and others add to it. Then the additions are covered by GPL . You would then have to get separate non GPL licenses from the authors of the additions if you want to use them. MvH Dan Andersson
