In 1969, my physics professor led our class into a small room where there was a time-sharing computer terminal. The terminal consisted of something that looked like a teletype machine, and a printer, and it was hooked up to a mainframe computer at some university. The professor connected to the mainframe, and he started to explain something to us. Suddenly he interrupted himself, and he said, "You need to understand something about computers: they are as fast as lightning, and they have a wonderful memory, but they are as stupid as all hell." !!!!! Go, Adams.
