Hi all, as Fruit 2.1 is currently performing a bit weaker against amateur engines (where more matches are played just now), there will be an inveetigation by the CEGT group afterwards if generally the rating performance for top engines drops when being paired against amateurs (in the range of -250 ELO) compared to those matches against top engines. Just an example: a win against Amyan 1.59.7 would give Fruit at this point 0.3 ELO, a loss would cost 1.4 ELO. This investigation will be based then on more than 2000 games each for Fruit and the top commercials, as we are intending to play this amount and will not be content with the error bars of +-20 ELO after 1000 games only. So all matches will go over 50 games, the complete CEGT rating list up and down. Fruit 2.01 is currently the number three of the CEGT rating list ranked between Fritz 8 Bilbao and Junior 9.003.
