Also Vassily Ivanchuk was invited, the promise he made in New in Chess magazine that he would cook his favourite Ukrainian dish for the organizers if invited may have had something to do with that. In Hoogovens they serve "Erwtensoep" for everybody on the last day. With this warm weather, not my favourite dish but nice on a cold winter's day. As long as Hoogovens still exists, tournament chess played by humans must be alive and well! Never been to visit the Hoogovens tournament but then we have more tournaments here, we are probably a bit spoiled... Groeten, Eelco
