I mean an >approximate elo rating compared to modern chess engines. hi Chris the strongest dedicated computers will play at or slightly above 2400 Elo here is a rating list for the strongest computers: http://www.schachcomputer.at/eloliste.htm look only to the 1992 tables the 2000 tables reflect an artificial downward adjustment of 100 points for all chess computers by the SSDF without bothering to retest the old computers Best Steve
