And the reason is his poor choice of openings.

He missed draws where the computer had the upper hand, and he hanging by his
fingernails trying to find the draws.  He is missing draws from a position of
weakness to start with rather than from a position of strength.

How do you know that if he does not try them?  You are just making it up.
