Have you considered he may have "prepared". The fact that he is in the top 10 does not mean that he prepared for the match. I think better preperation could be to study the french opening. Hydra lost in that opening in a correspondence game against Arno Nickel so there is better hope in that opening and he certainly could not score worse than 0/3 with black in the french opening. I think that Adams did not try to choose openings that hydra has problems with them. > >It maybe that Hydra is just that strong.... > >I am sure we will have more matches to confirm this outcome. So the results are a top 10 GM got crushed..... No matter the outcome >tomorrow. I am not sure if hydra is stronger. The competition is not only of hardware but also of software and better hardware is not enough. one match against human proves nothing and I think that hydra did at least one blunder(Kg7 instead of Bxd4) that other programs do not play(fortunately for hydra adams did not reply with Bxf6+ but with Kf1 so hydra won a pawn inspite of that blunder) Uri
