This was a fairly common problem a few versions back. Since then I have made changes both to the UI and the UI-engine communication to better synchronize the engine state and the user interface. I believed this was fixed or at least reduced to a very low frequency - apparently it is not, but this is the first report of the issue I have seen in a long time. I'll take another look at this area. Arasan also works with Winboard and in that environment I haven't seen any problems. --Jon
