I agree with that. Qg3 is fine once the Black Queen is off the a6-f1 diagonal.

The King seems to like 40.Qg3 g5 then trading off almost everything with 41.Qxe5
Rxc5 42.Rxc5 Qxc5 43.Qxc5 Bxc5 44.Rxb7 Nxg4+ 45.Bxg4 Rf2+ 46.Kg3 Rxd2, ending in
this:

But even holding this against the silicon beast would be tricky. The King
evaluates this position as -0.31 for Black after a little more than two minutes
on an AMD 2500.

But Black might have the option of 41...Re7! 42.Qxg5 Qc7+ 43.Kh1, and although
Black is down two pawns, things are very complicated. Very hard to hold OTB.
