I decide to post this for someone to express their ultimate point of view with respect to Man Vs Machine > Why do you believe that. Anand has never played > vs Hydra I think. In my opinion, top GM's are > not best choice to fight vs strong computer > programs. I still believe that a 2200 Elo player > understanding chess programs will do better than > all the professional top GM's. > Kurt Kurt,what you said was utter nonsense. 2200 ELO player?Anand will beat 100 games to 0 against any 2200 player,you bet. Top GM is the best choice for playing top programs,How do you know if "someone" is fit for playing Hydra,assuming that "someone"claims that he is anti-computer opponent. you too can claim "I'm an anti-comp player,I can destroy any computer,I've expereience playing with all chess programs,I understand its working" thats blah blah ofcourse. If you want to see the real MAN vs Machine,then Top GM vs Top Machine is the contest quite fairly [people's opinion] Anand is the only best player in the world currently,after Kasparov announced his retirement.He did well in both blitz and standard tournament. Adams is a kid who has no chess experience and makes a lot mistakes in all phases of game,takes too much time to find a dumb move and makes a dumbest move,duh!comes with totally unprepared,gets 1 draw and later says "Hydra is the monster" http://www.chessbase.com/newsdetail.asp?newsid=2476 see the link,and wait for Adams's blah blah speech,he should be explaining his poor perfomance rather than oppponent's strength. Don't speak nonsense like "a beginner is fit to play Hydra" you can believe beginner and novice are all fit,you can hear from them saying "I know how to beat chess machines and how it works" no one knows hydra's opening lines,then how come there are some anti-computer players,I hear some player names who play anti-comp chess? someone who claims that he is anti-computer chess expert should be given potatoes to peel instead of medal. I don't agree with you if you say anti-comp GM is the best choice,forget them as they have'nt shown any good ranking and games in Men's championship. decide taking world number #1 Anand or Toplaov.
