I think you misunderstood Nigel's email.  He's trying to be ironic in saying
that this Hydra machine is so strong, that accepting a match (with the prize
fund set up the way it was with Adams, 10k for a draw etc), is like accepting
10k to get your butt kicked publicly, 20k if you're really good (i.e. good
enough to achieve 2 draws).  In other words, he's admitting that the best you
can hope for in a match against hydra is one or two draws, which doesn't pay
much money, and leaves you with a bruised ego.  He's not suggesting any sort of
fixing of the match outcome.
