FX-57 is a bit faster running single programs, but with the X2 you will be albe to run SMP program like Deep Shredder much faster. You will also be able to run two programs at the same time, with pondering turn on.....So take a bit of speed loss and go X2 AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 4800+ 2GB Ultra Low Latency DDR PC-3200 SDRAM at 333MHz - 4 x 512MB If you choose 1 GB of Ram it can run at 400Mhz, but I would take the 2GB of ram running at 333Mhz.
