Just a quick comment on your section about solving chess...

Doesn't the phrase "solving chess" (or solving checkers or whatever) normally
mean proving what the game-theoretic value is--regardless of whether it's a win,
loss, or draw for the first player?

Also, the following reference

differentiates between ultra-weakly solved, weakly solved, and strongly solved.
