However, many shortcomings can be worked around as I have done on Playchess (Engine Room only). I don't play in any other room on Playchess.com To list a few glaring shortcomings on Playchess Engine Room (in my opinion): 1. A disconnection is a lost game, there is no way to recover and resume. Kiss it goodbye. 2. 60 + 15 games are categorized and rated the same as 3 + 0. All games are rated the same. I don't lose any sleep over either of them. There are other minor shortcomings but once you understand what they are, some can be avoided. I won't knit pick at them because they don't really make a big difference (to me). I won't get into any political issues others may have with Playchess. That's not my intention. One great advantage to Playchess Engine Room is that everyone there comes to play other programs and engines, they don't hide behind a "no computer" variable like ICC offers so they can play old women and children! The sysops are decent people once you get to know them and they run a tight ship as they must. DHM
