Junior was able to get out of very bad position and go on to win, by capitalizing on the fact that Shredder did not sense that his king was in danger, until it was too late (at one point, Shredder failed low from +6 to 0, maybe the biggest fail-low in WCCC history). Before that, Junior had already for several moves level or plus scores, based on its evaluation of the king attack. So the only way passed pawns may be connected to this is if Shredder made the mistake of thinking they are relevant here. Junior certainly didn't. Amir
