You are getting into irrelevant detail and trying to show ... I don't know what. The game turned around the danger to the black king, and the fact that black was not aware of it. That white was aware of it is obvious from the game itself. Passed pawns didn't matter here. If black was not in king trouble, he would win even without the a4 pawn. In the actual position, the a4 pawn was no compensation. It was Deep Junior 7 playing here. This program forced everyone to improve their king safety. Amir
