Let us see. I begin borrowing from your variation:

1... Ke7 2. Ne3 Rxg6 3. Nd5+ Kd7 4. Nxc7 Kxc7 5. Ra7+ Kb8 6. Rg7 Rh6 7. a4 Rh5
8. a5 Rd5

Now it's time to improve the passive bishop. The target square is c5:

9. Be1 Rd3+ 10. Kc2 Re3 11. Bg3+ Kc8 12. Bd6 Re4 13. Bc5

Now Black rook is apparently forced to go to e6, as White is threatening Rg6
winning the "a" pawn (against ...Kb7 then Rb6+ etc)

13... Re6 14. Kd3

and the endgame seems to be an easy win from now on, as White king threatens to
decisively advance along the "d" file.
