However, Hydra team is not done with their project. As far as I know, they are
planning to add 32 more FPGA cards and use all 64 CPUs in the cluster. If the
UAE sponsor keeps sponsoring the project with lots money, Hydra will increase
its edge in the next few years. Think about it this way. Did three years ago
Brutus had any edge against other programs? Was Brutus even the strongest
machine three years ago? If not, obviously they have increased their edge in
three years.  Why won't the edge be even bigger next year?  Unless IBM or some
other big corporate with lots of money sponsors some rival project, I doubt
anyone would be able to stop Hydra's increasing edge against other chess
programs/machines (that is, if UAE sponsor keeps spending money at this rate on
Hydra).
