As I read yesterday, he won the match, but received no monetary reward, because his payment was to be the world championship match. Kramnik, on the other hand, received a monetary prize as loser of the match, and then also got the title match with Kasparov. I, also, am annoyed by Kramnik's attitude since he became World Champion, and I admire Shirov's playing style. However, I can't consider Shirov to be World Champion, because he never won a World Championship match. Besides Kramnik did win a match against Leko eight months ago. I suppose this means that he will be calling himself World Champion for the next three-four years.
