I used to have the same problem. The first time it had to do with my DEP (Data
Execution Prevention) settings under Windows XP, then the second time (and still
current today) is a problem with router firmware (Blast Dlink to hell if you ask
me).

So I emailed their support, and they gave me the following URL:

www.fritzserver.org/updates/GUI8.iup

That will update your Fritz to the latest one. Just put the file into your
folder containing the IUpgrade.exe, run the IUpgrade.exe and it will do it all
for you.

Peter

PS - For users that have a Dlink DI-604 router and have firmware revisions 3.36
or 3.51 and can not update via the Playchess server, you now know why. If you
revert to firmware 3.20CM then it will work just fine, but you will be locked
into 10mbit transfers across your network. On a side note, if you use 3.36 or
3.51 with this router you will not be able to connect to Dann Corbit's FTP...
3.20CM will. Dlink is doing something weird with the "Block ping to WAN side"
option that is messing with _many_ protocals.
