Oh yes, I was very interested in the Adams vs Hydra game.
No one knew it, but I watched every game. I was logged in as "god".
I was so good against Deep Blue, I wanted to see how strong Adams was vs the
machine. Of course I knew the machine would not be very strong.
I considered the whole match, low level play. I have concluded Adams had a
stomach virus to have missed so many opportunities to win.
People give these machines too much attention, it is us, the top players in the
world that machines will never beat.
I am also concerned that there was human intervention with some of the Hydra
moves. I experienced the same thing in my match. I have told all you lower level
players, that no machine can find Be4, f4 etc.. these are only GM moves.

I am curious when the programmers will step up and learn how to write code that
will beat a Super GM like myself. It just has not happened yet. I see this as
maybe another 10 years out.

As far as this Hydra, it looks very weak compared to my Deep Blue match. Of
course this is what I expected. I understand the programmers are playing with a
shallow book, maybe 10 moves. Well my book is sometime 25 moves, how can this
machine possibly win advantage against my Super GM book moves? It cannot.

One final statement: If these programmers think they can write code to beat me,
they are dreamers, It will never happen.
