I have only had a quick look so far (and I'm a very weak chess player), but my first impression is that Glaurung's play looks unsound and too risky. It got away with it in this game, but I think it can easily backfire in other games. There are two important differences between the evaluation functions in Glaurung FRC and the normal Glaurung. The FRC version has a much bigger weight for the space evaluation, and also a big penalty for having multiple passive pieces. These two changes are extremely experimental, and I have no idea how well they work in practise. Your game makes me believe that at least the space evaluation should be made more conservative. Tord
