well i only know the results of the unit's  tested by the SSDF
it was rated 1757 Elo before 2000 when all computers were reduced 100 points by
the SSDF
it was programmed by the Spracklens and it was the 3 Mhz unit
the 4 Mhz Excellence as also tested and rated 1801 Elo

i have no idea if these were the very first units "off the Shelf"
