No Mac can run windows stuff natively. Microsoft Virtual PC will allow you to
run Windows from within MacOS, although there is a performance hit for doing
this. Apple are swithing to Intel chips next year, and you will then be able to
run Windows on a Mac, presumably being able to choose between Mac OS X and
Windows at boot time.

BTW what are the applications you use? - there may well be Mac versions or
equivalents.

I have made the switch to Mac recently, and I have no regrets. Mac OS X is so
much better than XP for the desktop, and the hardware is much nicer too.
