All modern Macs are, if you buy and install the Virtual PC Windows emulator from Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products/virtualpc/virtualpc.aspx As others have pointed out, CPU intensive applications will run quite slowly in the emulated environment. In particular, chess programs won't work very well. There is also a small risk that some of your applications will not work at all in Virtual PC. I am not sure how often this is likely to happen; I have never used Virtual PC myself. >I am fed up with windows shit and thinking seriously in a migration, BUT >without losing my heavy collection of Windows programs. Wait for the first Intel Macs. They are expected to be available within a year from now. You should then be able to run Windows programs in emulation without any noticable performance penalty. Another advantage is that chances are good that WINE (a free Windows emulator for Linux) will be ported to Intel Macs, so you won't have to buy Virtual PC. Personally I am extremely happy with my Mac, and apart from Chess System Tal there is not a single Windows program I really miss. Tord
