The final position is in fact a draw. Perhaps I should have played on to avoid all the people who think it is a pawn up for black :) The continuation (as seen by Zappa, with score actually +0.2 for black) would be: [D]8/4nk1p/p1r3p1/1p1p4/3K2P1/1P2N2P/P7/4R3 w - - 0 40 Nxd5 Nxd5 Kxd5 Rc2 a4! and white trades off both q-side pawns at the expense of his h3 pawn, achieving a drawn RP vs RPP same side ending. anthony
