The ICGA and the Icelandic webpages get updated with more details, some of them interesting for potential participants, but the news is not always easy to find. A little summary for your convenience: - News - The hardware for the competition provided by the organisation is as follows: Dell Optiplex 280 computers with 3.0GHz CPU, 1GB of RAM, and Windows XP operating system preinstalled. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - News - The Board of the ICGA decided to offer financial support for the costs of housing for 6-9 amateur participants in the WCCC in Iceland. The condition is to share rooms with at least two other persons. Please be so kind to inform us when you want to use this support and with whom you will share rooms. we will take care of the reimbursement after the WCCC. During weekdays/saturdays participants can get hot/cold lunch at Reykjavik University (RU) cafeteria. We will provide each *team* with 6 free meal tickets (Mon.-Sat.). The cost of a meal is otherwise approximately USD 8-10. Additionally there will be free coffee for all participants all day, and light snack (e.g. sandwitches) in the afternoon.
