I am not concerned about the time control -- of course rapid or bullet chess is not considered important by many but the facts still remain. * Should the program lose on time just because there is a blockade present in a bullet game? It's an annoying situation to deal with and seems so unimportant to fix perhaps but it is also very embarrassing in my opinion. Pablo has acheived the same time win vs. Shredder 9, Fritz 8, Junior, etc. Even Hiarcs 9. He wasn't able to, however, vs. our later internal versions as we have been working on blockades -- really to avoid them (as it is much more effective to avoid allowing your opponent to construct them than to actually improve the program's play once they have been allowed.) To me, it doesn't matter how silly the situation is and how uncommon it may be to see it in the mainstream chess-playing world. If there is something wrong with the program and you truly are working to improve it as a whole -- you fix it, not sweep it under the rug. -elc.
