Hi all, - after the big Fruit 2.1 test with more than 2000 games 40/40 repeated, all CEGT testers are currently running a New Versions Tournament including also some engines with "fewer" games in our rating list. Pharaon 3.3 with a clear lead and a rating improvement by more than 60 points after around 300 games. Performing well also Scorpio 1.3, Glaurung 0.2.4, AnMon 5.53 and The Baron 1.6.1. Matches are also in progress to confirm the improvement. http://www.husvankempen.de/nunn/tabellen/nvges.htm - in the City Grand Prix by Uschi (also with CEGT time control) 10 cities are finished with a combination of Knockout and Swiss systems. Fruit 2.1 won 6 out of 10 City Cups (!) so far and is leading the Grand Prix points standings followed by Shredder 9. - a combined CEGT and AEGT rating list is available with 48 000 games (approximately 24 000 each from both teams) and longer time control 40/40, played by more than 20 testers, a lot of them using two or three machines. http://www.husvankempen.de/nunn/rating.htm Goal of CEGT is to test commercial and top amateur engines systematically with a statistical relevant number of games (more than 1000) for each engine and a unified time control 40/40 (adapted to 2 Ghz P4 CPU via Crafty benchmark) and to have fun in a team of testers. More testers are welcome and can add tournaments of their own choice with engines from our rating list (or including new ones). Only condition is to play with our common time control. It does not matter how many games are added and how long new testers contribute, so no obligations at all.
