It is not a question of human worth or dignity.  I consider all humans as equal
value, including yourself.  I also do not denigrate your opinions or motives.  I
only feel in a case such as this both of us have strong opinions and neither
will be swayed by the opinions of the other.

Having strong opinions is a kind of passion, and I think it is good.  I do,
occasionally, have a big reversal in opinion.  This is not going to be one of
those times. I'm also absurdly stubborn at times.

At any rate, I don't want you to feel that I was looking down on you or
considering you as unworthy for discussion in some way.  I just thought that it
would not be the best allocation of time to debate something of which we are
both already convinced.
