I really need some help getting auto232 to work on my LAN.
On one side I have Fritz, on the other I have ChessPartner. The problem is, that
the server side seems to connect to the slave, but immediately runs into
problems.
FOr example, after setting up CP as slave and trying to connect with Fritz,
almost immediately after pressing OK Fritz returns with the Select Device
dialog.
And having Fritz as slave and CP as master, CP shows me a message about failure
to initialize the port.
After the attempt of the master to connect, I can find 3 events in the security
log on the slave side. A login event, an event about adding some kind of
privilige and a logout event.
Has there been an error and as a result the logout takes place. Or is it the
logout itself that should not be happening.
Btw, both machines on XP Home SP2.
Does anyone have any idea what is happening here ? How can I get things working
? Any comments and/or suggestions are welcomed.
