The Mr. Evil comment was indeed meant as a joke. And I disagree with my friends
all the time, so I don't see a problem there.

I think the top amateur engines today (like Fruit2.1, Zappa, maybe List which is
already a bit older, etc) are on a similar level as the top commercial engines.
Shredder9 might be still the best, but I not sure about Fritz8. I cannot comment
on Chessmasters strength, because I never owned it.
