And we can do so, but somehow the >permissions default to read-only for the recipient. Seems weird to me. The don't use the Drop Box folder. We have a appletalk network for about 20 Macs in our lab. Works without problems. Just connect with afp://machinename to the other computer, login with a username and account and copy the files over to the other machine. Permissons are set automatically to the user. You may have to activate appletalk and personal File sharing in the preferences. regrads Andy
