Hi Eelco,

yes, after understanding the backrank trick with the mate pattern with Bh6 it
seems not very hard for humans as well. But as you said, to find it OTB might be
another thing. May be Leko's mistake was 24...Nc6 missing 25.Qd5.

For programs it might be simple - but probably there are some null move issues,
to see that the queen sac works. Depending an some small adjustments my programs
solution time varies from 7 to 20 seconds.

Interestingly the position was also theme in yesterdays (or was it todays?)
telecast in WDR with Pfleger and Hort - of course a nice position for the
audience.

While Kramnik and specially Leko (last round loss againts Topalov after seven
hours in 107 moves!) had a hard time, Van Wely did quite well imho.
I was impressed by his very nice tactical ending against Bacrot in round two.
