A program may have bugs that cause it to do stupid blunder in 1 out of 1000 games and still be the strongest. Of course it cannot happen often with shredder but there is no way to be sure that it can never happen because it is always possible that the bug is rare enough so it did not happen in your tests. It is also possible that the fault is not in shredder but in the computer and I remember that Rebel played bad moves in some game in the anti-GM challange because the computer was too hot. Uri
