However, the pieces behind them on the white side are arranged at random, with the exception that bishops must end up on opposite colors, and the king should rest somewhere between the two rooks. The black pieces are lined up to mirror the white. Now in standard or classical chess the pieces behind the pawns are always the same, therefore, you end up with only one initial position. Jorge
