Lets take one of the 960 Positions for instance, position number 16: With this initial position number 16 [D]bbnqnrkr/pppppppp/8/8/8/8/PPPPPPPP/BBNQNRKR w - - 0 1 Let say Baron-FRc can play 1.Ne1-f3 [D]bbnqnrkr/pppppppp/8/8/8/5N2/PPPPPPPP/BBNQ1RKR b - - 1 1 Baron-FRC can also play 1.Ne1-d3 [D]bbnqnrkr/pppppppp/8/8/8/3N4/PPPPPPPP/BBNQ1RKR b - - 1 1 Baron-FRC can also play 1.Nc1-d3 [D]bbnqnrkr/pppppppp/8/8/8/3N4/PPPPPPPP/BB1QNRKR b - - 1 1 Baron-FRC can also play 1.Nc1-b3 [D]bbnqnrkr/pppppppp/8/8/8/1N6/PPPPPPPP/BB1QNRKR b - - 1 1 It can also Open with any of the eight pawns too, and the second, third, fourth moves, etc... (up to move 20 or so )of each of these openings could be different, just like in standard chess; so a program or human doesn't need to have an opening book to play different openings from one of the initial 960 positions. The program or human will play different openings, but there has not been an official name yet assigned to each of these opening that a program or human can instantly play from any of the 960 positions. Therefore, thousands of openings can instantly be created with humans or programs.
