hi Victor
its very common for Saitek manuals to look exactly the same because many of
their computers are sold in the same housings/casing and have the same
features,so the manuals are the same
as far as i can tell the Centurian is rated slightly less then the Chess
Challenger(perhaps 10-15 Elo) but both computers contain a Morsch program(From
Fritz Fame) and run on the same H8 Risc processor

if you want my suggestion..

buy an Excalibur GM for your first dedicated computer
it will play at around 2000 USCF at the tournament level
active rating(Game 30) is about 2075
it is a FULL sized Auto -sensory board with a white and green Vinyl board
exactly as seen in tournaments thruoghout the US

the pieces are large heavy plastic

its really a pleasure to sit down and play against and the cost is right in the
range you are looking at

it has some drawbacks(cant turn off the sound, cant play black from bottom
without turning the board around etc etc)
but if i were buying my very first dedicated computer, this would be my first one

Best
Steve
