There´s now an update (ver.1.1) for this X-FEN-converter available - same link:
http://cap.connx.com/cap/chess-utils/xfen/X2FEN960.zip

I´ve included a short ´Readme´ and an EPD-file for testing, and the program now
has an option ´/c´ (´compatibility mode´), which uses the standard letters
"KQkq" for the castling notation in classical chess positions (i.e. where the
rooks are on a/h-files and the king on the e-file), so that such positions
could also be used by chess-GUIs or engines, which do not support FRC/Chess960.

Regards,
Franz.
