Which rating does? No , No correspond they are different. Elo is a rating between Humans and SSDF a rating between COMP. You however can pit the best ranked Human vs the Best ranked COMP and find out results.(Done with Fritz & Junior but not under SSDF hardware specs). >> >>Adams gets a draw against a machine that is twice as fast as the machine that >>beat shredder on a quad 2.2Ghz . As Hidra uses a different hardware technology you cannot apply the formulas for doubling used for PC. Also those formulas have to be reformulated as the doubling of speed no longer represents what it used to be.Also Nodes per second in Hydra not necessarily mean the same as in PC. >>Shredder 8 on a 1.2Ghz on the SSDF list gets 2806 which would make Hydra 3076. >> >>Adams was rated 2747 he lost 5 and drew 1 >>which would be a performance of 3080.33 The performance against Adams have to be taken in perspective. It is close, but still we are wondering what happened to Adams in the match. He could have scored at least One Point. Probably you have to separate and say +3000 in tactics, 2700 in Opening (as they don't produce Novelties), -2700 in Positional Play and +3000 in Endgames with the help of Tablebases and considering not falling into an endgame bug by the program. >>either my estimates are lucky or i am correct. Take the games of COMP in Human Tournament as a reference. The COMP scores pretty well in tournaments, althought has been found that a low rated player that have prepared against COMP can draw if knowing specific weakness. Rafael
