Anyway, I went through the article rather fast ( I was not interested in details of how he parsed the Pgn, etc), but it occured to me that his bayesian filter which played chess, all it did was to pick a move out of a big opening database... Further, it did not even generate moves itself, but used San kit to do it. IMHO it did not really 'learn' to play chess. Pallav
